The HTS Classifier Agent is designed to address the complex challenge of classifying products into harmonized tariff schedule (HTS) codes, which are essential for trade reporting, customs declarations, and compliance. This process is critical for businesses and governments to ensure accurate taxation, adherence to trade agreements, and efficient customs processing. Misclassification can lead to financial penalties, shipment delays, and legal complications, making accurate HTS classification a vital need.

To solve this problem, the HTS Classifier Agent uses a structured approach to identify the most relevant HTS codes for a given product description. It leverages UiPath Context Grounding to retrieve top matching codes, evaluates their relevancy scores, and determines whether escalation to a human or review necessary. If required, the HTS Classifier Agent can also access Customs Rulings Online Search System (CROSS) to fetch past rulings, providing additional context and validation for the classification. This ensures a robust and traceable classification process, even in cases of ambiguity or low relevancy scores.

The agent is equipped with several tools and escalation mechanisms to enhance its functionality. The Customs Rulings Online Search System (CROSS) Tool allows it to retrieve up to 10 past rulings for a product description, aiding in validation and compliance. Additionally, the HTS Classifier Agent can escalate cases to a human expert using UiPath Action Center when the relevancy scores of retrieved codes fall below a user-defined threshold. This escalation includes detailed information about the product description, relevant HTS codes, and can include prior CROSS rulings, ensuring a seamless handoff and resolution process. This human-in-the-loop mechanism is presented using UiPath Action Apps as a user interface. These capabilities make the HTS Classifier Agent a reliable and efficient solution for HTS code classification.

**How to use**

1. Click the Download button.
2. In the Downloading an agent template window, select Download Solution. A .uis file containing the agent definition is downloaded to your machine.
3. Agent templates can also include Extras, a separate package containing assets for your agent (automations, custom escalations). Select Download Extras. A .zip file is downloaded to your machine.
4. In Studio Web, import the Agent definition .uis file as described in [Importing a project downloaded from Studio Web](https://docs.uipath.com/studio-web/automation-cloud/latest/user-guide/creating-a-project#importing-a-project-downloaded-from-studio-web).
5. Next, go to Solutions. For details, refer to [Accessing the Solutions UI](https://docs.uipath.com/solutions-management/automation-cloud/latest/user-guide/accessing-solutions).
6. Upload the .zip file, as explained in [Transporting a solution package](https://docs.uipath.com/solutions-management/automation-cloud/latest/user-guide/transferring-a-solution), then deploy the solution. 7. You can now access your agent template from Studio Web and add any other tools deployed to your tenant.
